Alea Stewart
15s Head Coach & Strength Coach
I have over 10 years of volleyball coaching experience with both clubs and high schools. I am married to my husband, Trevor, and we are excitedly expecting our first baby in January 2026.
I absolutely love coaching because it keeps me connected to the game while watching young athletes reach their full potential. Choosing FCA One was an easy decision for me, as it provides the perfect blend of high-level training while honoring God, who gives us the ability to train and compete.
My passion is helping athletes build strong volleyball and athletic IQ, preparing them for the highest levels of play, and helping them to remember that volleyball is what they do, not who they are.
My background is in strength and conditioning, and I enjoy giving lessons and investing in athletes both on and off the court. I also enjoy music, sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Lindsey Schell
16s Assistant Coach
I’m currently in my second year of coaching high school volleyball at Frederick High School. Before stepping into this role, I coached in a CARA league as well as a couple of recreational seasons, which sparked my passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the court.
Outside of volleyball, I love spending time with family and friends, going to country concerts, shopping, hanging out with my dog, Taft, and playing all kinds of board and card games. I come from a very close-knit and loving family that includes my mom, stepdad, and sister. I’m also incredibly close with my extended family—my cousins feel more like siblings than anything else!
My coaching journey began after I tore my labrum during my senior year of high school. I wasn’t ready to walk away from the sport that had been such a big part of my life, so I transitioned into coaching—and I’m so glad I did. Even though I haven’t been coaching very long, it has already proven to be such a rewarding experience. I love watching players develop new skills, build confidence, and show their unique personalities both on and off the court.
I chose to coach at FCA One because I truly believe in the club’s mission and the way it supports each individual athlete—not just as a player, but as a person. I recently graduated from college in May 2025 and completed my internship with the Wellness Division at West Metro Fire Department. I’m so excited to be part of the FCA One family and to continue making a positive impact through the sport I love!

Sidney Apodaca
17s Head Coach
I have been playing volleyball for 12 years—I started at the age of 15! I got my start at The Diff, so when I began coaching at Arete two years ago, it felt full circle for me. After the college and professional opportunities I had, I decided I wanted to coach. I’ve been coaching for 4 years, now going into my 5th. I first started as Head Coach of JV and Assistant to the Head Coach at my old high school, Eagle Ridge Academy, for a few years. Then I became the 16s Assistant Coach at Arete and continued assisting 16s through its transition into FCA One. In between club seasons, I’ve been the Head Coach at Stargate, and I’m now going into my second year there.
When I am not coaching volleyball (which is rare—but I love it that way), I enjoy reading books. I am a HUGE Disney Adult (literally and metaphorically), so I love watching Disney movies with my amazing 2-year-old when we aren’t on a Disney vacation! I also love to cook, go on walks, and spend time with my family whenever I can. My wonderful husband, Aaron, and I have been married for 4 years, and we have a lovely daughter, Thalia. We also recently rescued a shepherd, whom my daughter named Poppy. Throughout life, I’ve always said I’m a student of life; I am a CVT in the veterinary surgical medical field, I have degrees in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and I even went to culinary school.
Through it all, coaching has remained. In just a few short years, I’ve built incredible bonds with my athletes, and that alone holds great value to me. I love that I share a mutual passion for this sport with them, but I also love being able to guide these girls in becoming good people and sharing their gifts—volleyball and beyond—with the world. Volleyball has been such a big part of my life, shaping me into the person I am today. I’ve learned valuable lessons, some easy and others difficult, but always with the help of incredible people (both Christian and non-Christian) who guided me through. If I can be even a small part of that for my teams, I’ll feel I’ve made a difference.
I know that’s the heart of every coach at FCA. We all have our own styles, but at the end of the day, we’ve all trained ugly, and we want the girls to do the same. More importantly, we want them to know their value and be guided in life as people. The Diff has been a really special place to so many athletes, including myself, and I’d be crazy not to want to give back. The fact that I get to lead through faith is the biggest blessing. I even have Colossians 3:23 tattooed on my forearm as a constant reminder.

Camden Strain
17s Assistant Coach
I’ve been coaching volleyball for five years. I coached at Team Colorado Volleyball (TCV) for three years while I played at UCCS, and this is my second season with FCA One.
I am the second of four kids and the oldest daughter. My family loves sports, and my sisters and I all played college volleyball. I love hiking, working out, and playing any and every competitive game—sports, board games, or card games. I love to compete!
I love coaching because I love the game of volleyball. It changed my life and gave me lifelong friends, mentors, and memories. I am passionate about giving others that same experience. I chose FCA One because I played for The Diff under many of the same coaches who are now on staff with FCA One. The marriage of sport and faith here is so beautiful, and I’m passionate about teaching young women where their value and worth truly lie—in the undeniable truth that they are daughters of a King, a loving Heavenly Father.
I hope to help athletes grow in their volleyball skills and develop their game, but more importantly, I hope to equip them with lifelong skills and knowledge. Sports are such a unique arena to prepare young women for the highs and lows of life, and I hope to steward those experiences well.
